Today's Food for Thought (October 5, 2017)

There's not enough room in my mind for both worry and faith. You must decide which one will live there.
Do not allow worry to take over your mind. For whatever is going to happen will happen, whether you worry or not. The journey itself is going to change you, so you don’t have to worry about memorizing the route you took to accomplish that change. For better or for worse, cultivate your own little garden. For better or for worse, play your own little instrument in the orchestra of life. Have faith that assures, insures and endures. Praise more to remind yourself of life's wonder and the ultimate outworking of good. Hold on to the truth that God is always present, even in challenging circumstances. Divine order prevails.

Do you know why God blessed you another morning to wake up? It's to forget the pains of yesterday, and see the change the new day has brought, to dance and laugh again, to make up the wrong things you've done, to see your friends, to love again, to make others feel happy. It's more than just another long day ahead. It's God's way of reminding you that He cares and loves everyone of us. The larger our faith, the lesser our fear; the greater our trust, the smaller our doubt, the stronger our belief, the weaker our worries, and though life is so complicated, it's always beautiful. Walls of worry surround us everyday and we can never run away. But remember, walls only block the sides, never the sky.

CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN: We only have 81 days to go before Christmas 2017 and 88 days remaining before 2017 ends.

Hello August! (Funny how the time flies fast!)

Funny how the time flies so fast! The past 7 months has been quite chaotic, triumphant, boring, and also simple as ever. So since August is here, I wanna enumerate those August happenings in the Philippines:
* It is considered to be the month of our National Language (Filipino or Tagalog), on this month, we are honoring and valuing the Filipino language since Tagalog is the country's predominant vernacular. This also marks the National Language Month by way of activities such as Balagtasan (a debate in the form of a poem), Filipino cultural dances and other Filipino-themed cultural performances.
* This month also commemorates the National Heroes Day, wherein we pay tribute to the Filipino heroes who have sacrificed and died for the sake of our country.
* August is also the most active month as long as tropical cyclone activity in the Western Pacific and the Philippines is concerned. Those cyclones that enter PAR are the most responsible ones that can induce the southwest monsoon rains. (Did you remember Habagat in 2012? That was the most devastating calamity in Metro Manila which is not attributed to a typhoon, but due to the moisture inflow of Habagat that dumped all the heavy rains in that area).
* August 21 is also the day to remember about the assassination of Former Senator Benigno Aquino, Jr. in 1983 at the Manila International Airport (now named NAIA in honor of his courage and sacrifice).
* And also, this month is the last month wherein we are waiting for the longest (yup, you read this right) Christmas Season ever in the world, come September the 1st. A few radio and TV stations are now playing a few Christmas songs even if it is the month of August though. Well, at least you have to wait for the next 31 days before you play Jose Mari Chan's "Christmas In Our Hearts" or Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You." 😂😂😂

Guys, you have to wait for 31days before you play these songs from both of them. 😂😂😂

So, there you have it guys. August is one hell of a month that we all gonna have. Others say that August is also a ghost month. But in any case, August is such a good month that we all gonna enjoy (at least for the next 31 days).

Till my next blog post,

Cheers. 😊
