GMA NETWORK FIRST PH TV NETWORK TO OFFER CLOSED CAPTIONING

GMA Network is the first Philippine TV network in the country to officially roll out its closed captioning on some of its programs broadcast on GMA Network and GMA News TV.

This is in compliance to Republic Act 10905 which requires "all franchise holders or operators of television stations to broadcast or present their programs with closed caption option..."

The network tried a test broadcast with closed captioning feature on Septembber 28 for the movie "Mission Impossible," which aired during the program Kapuso Movie Festival block.

With closed captioning, viewers will now be able to see the text description of the movie or program's dialogue and other key non-speech elements (such as music, effects, etc) at the bottom of the screens. The said feature also aims to become beneficial to those who are deaf or who have difficulty in their hearing.

The closed captioning feature is set to roll out on GMA Network and GMA News TV this month.

Barbie Forteza's first project was Stairway to Heaven in 2009 and her breakthrough project "First Time" in 2010.

Barbie Forteza recently starred as Billie Bendiola in the recently concluded series "Meant To Be". Forteza will be part of the cast of the upcoming movie with Ken Chan to be produced by Regal Films, which is expected to show within the remaining months of the year.

2 - JULIE ANNE SAN JOSE

Julie Anne San Jose started her showbiz career when she became a contestant of QTV 11's Pop Star Kids in 2006.

Bianca Umali started her TV career when she was two years old and she first appeared in a diaper commercial.

Now she is 17, Bianca Umali is now a very beautiful lady. In fact, she starred in the following series:"Nino", "Once Upon A Kiss", "Wish I May," "Usapang Real Love (Real Love Talk)" and the current series "Mulawin vs. Ravena" with her onscreen partner Miguel Tanfelix.
