Today's Food for Thought (September 16, 2017)

It's not only the scenery you miss by going fast, you also miss the sense of where you are going and why. - Eddie Cantor

Today's Food for Thought (September 16, 2017)

Urgency is good for getting things done. A healthy dose of it helps you to be productive. But urgency is less suited for reflection and rest. And false urgency blurs your vision from seeing the important things in your life, it keeps you from seeking and hearing God. Slow down. Remind yourself that you are in a relationship with Him. Know His peace. Know His presence. He is always around, quietly waiting for you to still yourself enough to hear what He has to say. Listen. In stillness, you will hear and feel Him.

Sometimes we wish too much that we miss to enjoy who we are, where we are and what we have. Stay happy. The secret to happiness is to embrace and appreciate everything that happens in our lives. God puts us where we grow best and gives us good people to grow with. Little minds are tamed and subdued by misfortunes; but great minds rise above them. Listen to your gut, no matter how good something on paper. Men, like nails, lose their usefulness when they lose direction and begin to bend. Whatever is produced in haste goes hastily to waste. What is the use of running when we are not on the right road?
